A Bridge to Transform Brazil’s Wine Industry: Michael Scott Carter Will Connect Winemakers to Create Unique and Genuinely National Wines
Boosting Brazilian wine is a journey that must be shared. That’s why we’re looking for collaboration!
Michael Scott Carter Vinícolas do Brasil was created with a special purpose: to make history in the national wine industry. We seek to build partnerships between micro, small and independent winemakers from all wine regions in Brazil so that, together, we can create unique and exceptional wines.
On October 20, 2024, the brand will be officially launched together with our Wine Club. This initiative aims to create a connection between small winemakers who produce between 5,000 and 10,000 bottles per year and wine lovers, promoting collective growth and the exchange of experiences. During the launch, we will reveal all the details about how the partnerships will be formed, ensuring that everyone can get involved and enjoy this exciting experience.
With this partnership, talented winemakers will be able to present their best creations to a wider audience, winning over new customers. Meanwhile, members of the Wine Artisans Club will have exclusive access to exceptional collaborative wines, all genuinely Brazilian. The club will launch periodic and limited editions, combining techniques and artisanal knowledge from different regions of the country.
Our mission is to create an ecosystem that reflects values of sustainability and inclusion, fostering the production of high-quality wines in Brazil. We believe that, together, we can truly boost the Brazilian wine industry.
Michael Scott Carter, founder of the brand, explains:
“We see an incredible opportunity to work with small producers and independent winemakers on a project that will highlight the richness of their craftsmanship, while celebrating our shared commitment to unity, passion for winemaking and the art of collaboration.”
On the International Wine Scene Currently, Brazil ranks 14th in the world ranking of wine producers, according to data from the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV)*. In 2023, the country grew 12.1% in production compared to the previous year. We are also the third largest producer in South America, behind only Argentina and Chile**.
Every day, more people are becoming interested in this drink. The improvement in the quality of wine in the national market makes wine lovers more demanding and in search of new products. Michael Scott Carter Vinícolas do Brasil is prepared to create surprising and lasting connections, supporting not only winemakers but all those who are truly involved in the appreciation of national wine.
Our initiative also values the unique characteristics of the Brazilian terroir. The history of the wine industry in Brazil began in the mid-19th century, initially in Rio Grande do Sul. Over the course of 200 years, the production of grapes for wine spread throughout the country. Today, there are several wine regions in Brazil, each of which has developed exclusive techniques for producing wines that best adapt to the characteristics of the terroir.
Imagine combining this different knowledge and bottling it in unique labels! This is the experience that Michael Scott Carter's Wine Artisans Club will provide to small winemakers and wine lovers. In this experimental process, we want to develop a sense of community that will help us thrive on our main goal: our passion for wine.
Join us on this incredible journey! Stay tuned for more information on how to become a member of the Wine Artisans Club and support national production. We are excited to toast to the vibrant future of Brazilian winemaking!
